Strange Dreams
So I dream. I don't think I've mentioned it here before. I dream in great detail. Like, down to filigree on eggs and symbols on walls in the background and particular geometric patterns in the ribbon on that princess' dress. Like epic plotlines. Bright colours. Loud music and talking.

This is my primary source of inspiration for writing. So, I was working on one of my Faerie stories to prep for an RP I'm running for friends last night. So naturally, I dreamed in fae. There was a magickal shop called The Candy Store (no relation to the real-life version) which sold all kinds of candy and fireworks.

And I mean fae candy and fireworks.

Sure, there were snap poppers and m&m's. But there was also a wide variety of spun-sugar dollhouses with custard and chocolate furniture and sparklers for lights. And a pyrotechnic candle that made a spider-blossom in the sky that trailed down petite fours on little parachutes instead of merely ash.

I want those fireworks.

When I read a long fantasy series, after a couple weeks, I start dreaming about the characters. It always seems so odd--to read about them during the day, then dream about them at night.

During NaNo, after about a week, I start dreaming about my characters and what comes next in the plotline. Usually when I wake up, i'll start writing where the dream left off.
